Terms of Service & Privacy Policy

1. Service Description

Natural Logs ("the Service") is a log query tool that allows you to search and analyze your AWS CloudWatch Logs using natural language queries. The Service is operated by Hudson Signals ("we", "us", "our").

2. Account & Authentication

You may create an account using email/password or Sign in with Apple. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must provide accurate information during registration.

3. AWS Credentials & Responsibility

To use the Service, you provide AWS IAM credentials (Access Key ID and Secret Access Key). You agree and acknowledge that:

• You are solely responsible for creating IAM credentials with appropriate, limited permissions. We provide instructions to create read-only CloudWatch Logs access keys.
• You should follow our provided IAM policy which grants only the following permissions: logs:DescribeLogGroups, logs:DescribeLogStreams, logs:StartQuery, logs:GetQueryResults, logs:StopQuery, logs:FilterLogEvents.
• If you provide credentials with broader permissions than recommended, you assume all risk. We are not responsible for any unauthorized access, data loss, or charges resulting from overly permissive credentials.
• We will only use your credentials to execute CloudWatch Logs queries on your behalf. We do not store, copy, transfer, or use your log data for any other purpose.
• You may revoke access at any time by deleting or deactivating the IAM access key in your AWS account.

4. Privacy & Data Handling

We take your privacy seriously:

• Log data is never stored by us. Queries are executed in real-time against your CloudWatch Logs and results are streamed directly to your browser or device. We do not retain, cache, or analyze your log content.
• Personal information: We store only your email address, authentication tokens, and AWS credentials (encrypted at rest) necessary to operate the Service.
• No selling or sharing: Your data, queries, log content, and personal information are never sold, shared with third parties, or used for advertising, training, or analytics purposes.
• AI queries: Your natural language prompts are sent to AWS Bedrock (Claude) solely to generate CloudWatch Insights queries. The prompts are not stored or used for model training.
• Cookies: We use session cookies solely for authentication. No tracking cookies are used.

5. Pricing & Plans

The Service offers the following plans:

• Free: 50 queries/day, 7-day query history
• Starter ($29/mo): 500 queries/day, 30-day query history
• Pro ($99/mo): 5,000 queries/day, 90-day query history
• Enterprise ($299/mo): Unlimited queries, 1-year query history

All plans, including those accessed via the iOS app, are managed through the web interface at natural-logs.com. The iOS app operates under the same plan associated with your account. Paid plans are billed via Stripe. You may cancel at any time.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to: (a) use the Service for any unlawful purpose; (b) attempt to gain unauthorized access to our systems; (c) share account credentials with unauthorized parties; (d) use the Service to violate any third party's rights.

7. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND. IN NO EVENT SHALL HUDSON SIGNALS BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO DAMAGES ARISING FROM MISCONFIGURED AWS CREDENTIALS, DATA EXPOSURE, OR SERVICE INTERRUPTIONS.

8. Data Deletion

You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us. Upon deletion, your AWS credentials, account information, and query history will be permanently removed from our systems.

9. Changes to Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify you of material changes via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
